Fox Marquette held its annual Find a Friend With Fox pet adoption event on Wednesday, August 23.  24 animals brought in by the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter were adopted to new homes.  Fox has been doing this event for the last 10 years and they pay for all the adoption fees.

“We were very busy this whole week as soon as Fox Marquette promotions started to get advertised,” said Ann Brownell of UPAWS. “People ran in and started adopting because they didn’t want to lose out on their pets. All week long we’ve been busy because of Find a Friend with Fox,” she added.

“It’s really great to be able to see these pets unite with these loving families, said Brittany Singer, marketing coordinator at Fox Marquette. “I know first-hand. I’m the owner of two shelter dogs, so I know how much it means to not just the pets to be able to find a home, but also for the families to be able to feel that unconditional love. Nothing beats it.”

Brownell added that most of the pets adopted at the event were recently brought in from outside the Upper Peninsula.

Fox will be hosting another adoption fair later this year.  To see video on this event visit
