We are privileged to present the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter with a $10,000 donation as a result of Subaru's Share the Love event.
The Subaru Share the Love event ran from the end of November through early January. Customers who leased or purchased a new Subaru had their choice of five charities -- four national and one local charity of the dealership's choice -- to donate $250 to on behalf of Subaru of America. Fox Marquette chose UPAWS as their local charity.
UPAWS is a local, nonprofit organization which seeks to improve the quality of life and welfare for domestic animals and to provide a safe haven while finding lifelong homes for the animals in our care. UPAWS does not receive any funding from governmental agencies and saves 97 percent of the animals under their roof from euthanization. UPAWS will use the money for vet care, food and other services for their animals.
